Rajinikanth is teaming up with his elder daughter, filmmaker Aishwarya Rajinikanth for her upcoming project Lal Salaam. The movie, which is touted to be a sports drama, features the legendary superstar of Tamil cinema in an extended cameo appearance. The audio launch of the movie, which stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles, was held in Chennai a couple of days back.
As you may know, AR Rahman is composing the songs and original score for Lal Salaam. The singles of the film have already won the hearts of both Tamil cinema audiences and music lovers. Meanwhile, the Academy Award-winning musician is now making headlines with the commendable technical decision he has made for the film.
Yes, you read it right. If the latest reports are to be believed, AR Rahman is set to make a revolutionary move in Tamil cinema, by bringing back the voices of late singers, Bamba Bakya and Shahul Hameed. As per the latest updates, the celebrated musician has used the late singers’ voices for the Thimiri Yezhuda song from Lal Salaam, using AI software. Even though this technology has been widely used in social media platforms and the Western entertainment industry, this is the first time it is being used in a Tamil film.

The veteran singer has collaborated with Rahman for many famous jingles, and for many blockbuster films including Gentleman, Thiruda Thiruda, Kadhalan, and Jeans.
Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth are playing the lead roles in the film, which stars Rajinikanth in the role of Moideen Bhai. Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, KS Ravikumar, Thambi Ramaiah, Nirosha, Vivek Prasanna, Dhanya Balakrishna, and others appear in the supporting roles. Kapil Dev, the celebrated cricketer, is making a special cameo appearance. Lal Salaam, which is produced by Lyca Productions, is set to hit the theatres on February 9, 2024.
