The actor is now returning to Tamil cinema in an untitled project starring Bigg Boss Tamil fame Tharshan and Madhuri Jain.

Lakshmi Manchu is ready to make her return to Tamil cinema and is currently working on an untitled movie which has Bigg Boss Tamil fame Tharshan and Madhuri Jain in the lead.
The actor will be seen playing a role of a police officer named Rajini, a straightforward cop who is a Deputy Commissioner of Police and this is the first time she plays a cop in her career.
Talking about the movie in an interview with Times of India, she said, “I wanted to look the part. I have many cop friends and I used to call them with the silliest of doubts, like what kind of gun they would use,”
About the crew of the movie, she said that the entire team is made up of youngsters with a lot of passion and fire. She also added that she was the most senior person in the team and that the film is an exciting thrill ride with music by Anirudh Ravichander.
The actor also joked that she told Anirudh that he should give her scenes a Baashha kind of re-recording.
Manchu was last seen in Tamil in Mani Ratnam’s Kadal and the comedy drama Kaatrin Mozhi. The actor is also currently getting ready to work with her father Mohan Babu for the first time. She will also soon make her Malayalam debut with Maestro.
The actor, who was the host for the show Aha Bhojanambu, last appeared in Tharun Bhascker’s segment in the Telugu anthology drama film Pitta Kathalu.
