Arunraja Kamaraj, known for directing hit films like 'Kanaa' and 'Nenjukku Needhi', has unveiled the teaser for his debut OTT series, 'Label'. The series stars Jai and Tanya Hope in lead roles. The eagerly-awaited series will be released on Disney+ Hotstar.
The teaser offers glimpses of the law, the Indian Constitution, and particularly focuses on Article 20, which provides protection for those accused of crimes. Some scenes show a person being arrested, hinting that it is a legal drama in tracking one's identity.
The concept behind ‘Label’
The series is an action drama and explores personal identity. The narrative revolves around the protagonist's struggle to attain the identity he desires and how he overcomes the labels society has imposed on him. More details regarding the storyline are yet to be revealed.
The cast and crew of Label
Apart from Jai and Tanya Hope, the series has an ensemble cast that includes Mahendran, Harishankar Narayanan, Charan Raj, Sriman, Ilavarasu, and Suresh Chakravarthy, among others. The web-series is produced by Muthamizh Padaippagam Productions in collaboration with ARK Entertainment.
Sam CS has arranged the musical score, while Dinesh Krishnan is the cinematographer. The film also has Raja Arumugam as the editor, Vinoth Rajkumar as the art director, and Jeyachandra Hashmi as the writer. Director Arunraja Kamaraj has penned the songs.
