Kiran Rao's Laapataa Ladies is one of the most critically acclaimed movies of 2024's first quarter. The movie, starring Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta and Sparsh Shrivastav, was released in cinemas on March 1, 2024. Over a month after its theatrical release, the Kiran Rao directorial premiered on Netflix. After the film dropped on the OTT platform, Alia Bhatt watched Laapataa Ladies and shared her review on Instagram.
Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram stories and penned her thoughts about Laapataa Ladies. The actress found Kiran Rao's directorial to be a "beautiful film". She praised the performances of the star cast, which includes Ravi Kishan, Sparsh Shrivastava, Nitanshi Goel and Pratibha Ranta. Sharing her review on Instagram, Alia wrote, "Such wonderful time at the movies (sic)."
The actress mentioned that the entire cast delivered fabulous performances in Laapataa Ladies. "Congratulations to all of you (sic)," she added.

Meanwhile, Laapataa Ladies started streaming on Netflix a few days ago. In a promotional video shared by the streaming platform, Kiran Rao says that one reason to watch Laapataa Ladies is that it took her 13 years to make a film. Aamir Khan, on the other hand, added that they would be extremely happy if the audience watched the movie.
For those who are unaware, Laapataa Ladies successfully ran over 50 days in theatres. The film narrates the tale of two women who lose themselves during a train ride. Before its theatrical run, Laapataa Ladies was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 8, 2023.
In the movie, Nitanshi Goel is seen as Phool Kumari, while Sparsh Shrivastav plays Deepak Kumar. Pratibha Ranta played the part of Pushpa Rani. As far as Ravi Kishan is concerned, he was seen in the role of Inspector Shyam Manohar.
