Days after unveiling the first song from Laal Singh Chaddha, the makers have announced a release date for the film’s second track as well. The second track, sung by Sonu Nigam, is titled Main Ki Karaan, and the makers took to social media to announce when the song will be out.
Aamir Khan Productions made the announcement on their official social media handles today. The announcement also features a small video of Nigam, who is seen rehearsing in a studio and singing parts of the song. In the post’s caption, the makers teased that the new song will remind people of their ‘first love’.
Main Ki Karaan will be released on May 12, Thursday, at 10 am.

The first song from the film’s soundtrack, titled Kahani, was released last month. The song featured vocals by Mohan Kannan and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
Main Ki Karaan too is expected to be released in the form of a lyrical video, like Kahani. A statement had mentioned how Aamir Khan, who stars in the film, believes that people are interested in listening to songs these days, instead of focussing on the music videos. The makers of Laal Singh Chaddha were thus keen to release the songs’ audio versions rather than their video versions.
In addition to Aamir, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Chaitanya Akkineni. Advait Chandan has directed the film, which is produced by Aamir, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios. The upcoming film is the Hindi remake of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump (1994), which stars Tom Hanks.
Laal Singh Chaddha will be released in theatres on August 11, 2022.
