L2 Empuraan – Prithviraj Sukumaran drops a new update on the Mohanlal-starrer

L2 Empuraan, the highly anticipated second installment in the Lucifer franchise, started rolling in October 2023. The project, which marks the third collaboration of superstar Mohanlal and actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran, is touted to be an action-packed entertainer. As reported earlier, the director and team wrapped up the second schedule of the much-awaited project in the UK, a few weeks back.

Now, Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran are now set to resume the new schedule of the highly anticipated project in the USA, soon. Meanwhile, the actor-filmmaker took to his official Instagram handle and treated his fans by sharing a new location still, hinting that the third schedule is set to go on floors shortly.

L2 Empuraan third schedule updates are out

Prithviraj Sukumaran recently took to his Instagram story and shared a road video from the USA, as he headed to the location of L2 Empuraan along with his wife Supriya Menon and the other team members. Meanwhile, Supriya Menon shared a lovely gif of her handsome husband, which was taken during one of their recent USA outings, on her Instagram story. The couple’s Instagram stories are now going viral on social media.

Meanwhile, the sources close to the Mohanlal-starrer suggest that director Prithviraj Sukumaran and his team are planning a brief schedule, which will be wrapped up in less than 12 days, in the USA. Later, the multi-faceted talent will return to India to attend the promotional events of his highly anticipated project, Aadujeevitham. After the release of the Blessy directorial, Prithviraj and his team are expected to kickstart the next schedule shooting of the film in Chennai.

L2 Empuraan – Cast and crew

As reported earlier, the grapevine suggests that the Mohanlal-starrer might mark the Malayalam cinema debut of the popular Pakistani actress, Mahira Khan. Director Prithviraj Sukumaran, on the other hand, is set to play the character Zayed Masood once again, in the Lucifer sequel. Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Sai Kumar, Baiju Santhosh, Shivaji Guruvayoor, and others are set to reprise their respective characters.

L2 Empuraan is scripted by the renowned actor-writer, Murali Gopy. Sujith Vaassudev is the director of photography. Deepak Dev is composing the songs and the original score. The project is jointly produced by Antony Perumbavoor and Subaskaran Allirajah, under the prestigious banners Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions.
