L2 Empuraan teaser release date and time locked: Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran to drop the update on THIS day?

L2 Empuraan, the long-awaited Lucifer sequel, is gearing up for a grand release in March 2025. The project, which marks the third onscreen collaboration of Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is now nearing the final stages of its production. Recently, the actor-filmmaker confirmed that the team has completed the film’s first cut. As per the latest updates, the long-awaited L2 Empuraan teaser is gearing up for a grand release on January 1, 2024.

L2 Empuraan teaser release date and time out

If the recent updates are to be believed, director Prithviraj Sukumaran and his team are gearing up to release the highly anticipated L2 Empuraan teaser, on the special occasion of New Year 2025. According to the grapevine, the first glimpse of the upcoming Mohanlal starrer will be out at midnight, on January 1, 2025. The cast and crew members are expected to make the big announcement on the same, by the last week of December 2024.

Along with the L2 Empuraan teaser, the makers reportedly planning to reveal the character posters from the film on social media, soon. The rumour mills suggest that director Prithviraj Sukumaran and his team are planning an elaborate promotional campaign for the film, just like they did for its prequel Lucifer, in 2019. The character poster release of the Mohanlal starrer is also expected to by the last week of December 2024, mostly on the special occasion of Christmas.

L2 Empuraan: Cast and crew

The Lucifer sequel will feature Mohanlal once again in the role of Stephen Nedumpally aka Khureshi Abraam. Prithviraj Sukumaran will return as the protagonist’s commander, Zayed Masood. The original Lucifer star cast, including Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Sai Kumar, Baiju Santhosh, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Saniya Iyappan, and others, will reprise their respective roles in L2 Empuraan. Suraj Venjaramoodu, Tamil actor Arjun Das, Sharaf U Dheen, Shine Tom Chacko, Salaar actor Karthikeya Dev, and others will be seen in the pivotal roles.

Deepak Dev composes the songs and the original score for the film. Sujith Vaassudev is the director of photography. Akhilesh Mohan handles the editing of the Mohanlal starrer. L2 Empuraan, which is jointly produced by Antony Perumbavoor and Allirajah Subaskaran, under the prestigious banners Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions, will hit the big screens on March 27, 2025.
