Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran recently wrapped up the filming of L2 Empuraan, the upcoming Lucifer sequel. The actor-director duo completed the filming of the project after multiple shooting schedules, that lasted for over 13 months. As per the latest updates, director Prithviraj Sukumaran and his team are planning to kickstart the post-production works of Mohanlal’s film, after a quick break. The L2 Empuraan teaser is expected to be out on the special occasion of New Year 2025.
L2 Empuraan teaser gets a release date?
If the latest updates are to be believed, the long-awaited L2 Empuraan teaser is gearing up to have its grand release, either on December 21, 2024, or January 1, 2025. Ahead of the teaser release, the makers are reportedly planning to drop a few other major updates on the film, especially its character posters, right from the day of Christmas 2025. However, none of these reports are officially confirmed, yet.
L2 Empuraan: Here’s what we know
Mohanlal is set to reprise the much-celebrated character, Stephen Nedumpally aka Khureshi Abraam, in the upcoming Lucifer sequel. Prithviraj Sukumaran, the director, is set to make a comeback as Abraam’s commander, Zayed Masood, in the highly anticipated film. Along with the actor-director duo, L2 Empuraan features the original Lucifer star cast, including Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Sai Kumar, Baiju Santhosh, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Saniya Iyappan, and others, in the supporting roles.
Along with the original star cast, L2 Empuraan reportedly features a new additional star cast, including Suraj Venjaramoodu, Tamil actor Arjun Das, Sharaf U Dheen, Shine Tom Chacko, Salaar actor Karthikeya Dev, and others in the pivotal roles, along with a bunch of foreign actors. Deepak Dev composes the songs and the original score for the film. Sujith Vaassudev is the director of photography. L2 Empuraan, jointly produced by Aashirvad Cinemas and Lyca Productions, will hit the big screens on March 27, 2024.
