L2 Empuraan location pics out; Prithviraj Sukumaran, Mohanlal to shoot THESE portions?

L2 Empuraan, the long-awaited Mohanlal starrer directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, is nearing the final stages of its shooting. The movie, which is a sequel to the 2019-released blockbuster Lucifer, is one of the most anticipated Malayalam releases of 2025. As per the recent updates, the team is planning to shoot at various locations of Kerala’s capital city, until the next week. Meanwhile, the L2 Empuraan team members recently dropped some location stills, on social media.

L2 Empuraan: Prithviraj, Mohanlal to shoot THESE portions?

The recently released L2 Empuraan location pictures confirm that leading Mohanlal is set to make a comeback as the much-loved Stephen Nedumpally, very soon. The famous black ambassador car used by the superstar’s character in Lucifer has been brought back on the sets of the film, hinting at the same. As per the latest updates, some intense political sequences, featuring the Malayalam superstar and other cast members, are expected to be shot at the Thiruvananthapuram location, soon.

Even though the leading man is making a comeback as Stephen Nedumpally in the film, Khureshi Abraam’s portions are expected to have more screen time. Mohanlal, who is currently in Chennai for the shooting of L360, the upcoming Tharun Moorthy directorial, is expected to join L2 Empuraan’s new schedule, very soon. Meanwhile, in a recent social media post shared by Antony Perumbavoor from the film sets, the producer is seen having a great time with director Prithviraj Sukumaran, and writer Murali Gopy.

L2 Empuraan: Cast and Crew

The Prithviraj Sukumaran directorial is scripted by actor-writer Murali Gopy. Along with Mohanlal, director Prithviraj, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Fazil, Sai Kumar, Baiju Santhosh, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Saniya Iyappan, and others expected to reprise their respective roles from the original, in the upcoming second installment. Suraj Venjaramoodu, Arjun Das, Shine Tom Chacko, and others are also said to be a part of L2 Empuraan cast. Sujith Vaassudev is the director of photography. Deepak Dev composes the songs and original score.
