L2 Empuraan, the most anticipated upcoming project in Malayalam cinema, is nearing the final stages of its shooting. Director Prithviraj Sukumaran and his team recently resumed the delayed Gujarat schedule of the Mohanlal starrer, after the unexpected Monsoon break. Meanwhile, in a recent interview with a leading Malayalam media, L2 Empuraan music composer Deepak Dev opened up about the project and revealed that the spot-edit visuals left him highly surprised.
In his recent interview with Club FM, the music director revealed that the crew is not allowed to reveal anything about L2 Empuraan as per the policies. However, Deepak Dev added that even the spot-edit visuals, sent to him immediately after the shoot without any edits or colour corrections, look fantastic. The musician, who is highly excited about the Mohanlal starrer, revealed that anyone would have believed if the team claimed those unedited visuals were the final products, due to their perfection.

According to Deepak Dev, director Prithviraj Sukumaran and his team have created some wonders with practical effects in L2 Empuraan, instead of blindly following the computer graphics effect. When the music director once asked Prithviraj about shooting such risky stunts involving vehicles practically, the filmmaker replied that all those stunts were shot after so much rehearsals. This move resulted in those stunt scenes coming out perfectly, in just one take. From the music director’s revelation, it is safe to assume that the Lucifer sequel is going to be a visual treat for the film fanatics.
As reported earlier, director Prithviraj Sukumaran and his team are planning to wrap up the entire Gujarat portions, which was the longest schedule of the film, in a few days. Later, the team will take a quick break from the shoot, after which they will resume the pending foreign schedules of L2 Empuraan. The team is expected to resume the long-pending Abu Dhabi schedule next, after which they will return to India to finish the Mumbai, New Delhi, and Hyderabad portions. The project is expected to be released in March 2025.
