The trailer of the upcoming Gujarati film Kutch Express that stars Darsheel Safary, Manasi Parekh and Ratna Pathak Shah, released in Mumbai on Tuesday.

From the trailer, it is evident that the story of the film captures the journey of a simple, young housewife, who is initially quite happy with a seemingly perfect family of a husband, child and mother-in-law, and the identity of a homemaker. As time passes and her husband finds interest in other women in his office, with a broken heart, she starts questioning what she has missed out on in her life. She finds the answer right in front of her.

With that awakening, the story is about how a small-town homemaker achieves her dream of becoming an artist and starts a new life beyond her home.

Kutch Express marks the Gujarati debut of veteran actress Ratna Pathak Shah and Taare Zameen Par-fame actor Darsheel Safary.

Since this is the first time Darsheel worked with Ratna and Manasi, the young actor earlier said, "I've had one of the warmest experiences while acting in Kutch Express. I've known Manasi ma'am for years and we've discussed working on something together for quite some time. Now, it has finally materialised."

Ratna also said earlier, "The experience was much more than I had hoped for. The team was excellent — skilled, hardworking and intelligent. I had never worked with my co-stars from this film before and was delighted by their enthusiasm."

The film also stars Dharmendra Gohil, Viraff Patel, Heena Varde, Reeva Racch, Kumkum Das, Margi Desai and Bhumika Barot. Produced by Parthiv Gohil and Manasi Parekh, and directed by Viral Shah, the music of Kutch Express is composed by Schin-Jigar. The film is set to release in theatres on January 6, 2023.
