Kushi is a relationship drama starring Vijay Deverakonda, Samantha in the lead, marking their second collaboration after Mahanati. The film is written and directed by Shiva Nirvana. This is Samantha’s second film with the director and Vijay’s first. Y Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni have produced the film under Mythri Movie Makers. The film released in theatres across five languages today.
Jayaram, Sachin Khedakar, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, Ali, Rohini, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar and Saranya Pradeep form the supporting cast of the drama. The film was shot over one and half years across Kashmir, Hyderabad and several other scenic overseas locales. The pre-release business for the film has been impressive, proving the star power of its leads.

We’ve learnt that the film’s post-theatrical streaming rights have been bagged by the leading streamer Netflix. The film is expected to premiere in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada on the OTT platform in the final week of September or the early half of October. A definite call about the OTT release date will be taken on the basis of the film’s performance at the box office.
The story revolves around a happy-go-lucky youngster Viplav, a BSNL employee, who, as part of a work trip to Kashmir, falls in love with Aradhya, who hides her true identity for unknown reasons. Viplav and Aradhya are head over heels in love with one another but their parents are against their marriage. They eventually tie the knot. Will they stand by one another through their thick and thin?
G Venkat cranks the camera for the film while Prawin Pudi is the editor. Jayashree Lakshminarayanan is the production desginer and the art directors are Uttara kumar Surisetty, Chandrika. Raju Sundaram, Brinda, Pony Verma choreographed the songs. Hesham Abdul Wahab scored the music with Peter Hein, V Venkat supervising the action sequences.
