Kushi: It’s a wrap for Vijay Deverakonda, Samantha’s drama; post-production work commences

Director Shiva Nirvana, who shot to fame with films like Ninnu Kori, Majili, Tuck Jagadish, is now helming the romance drama Kushi. Vijay Deverakonda, Samantha play the lead roles in the film produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers. The film is gearing up for a September 1 release across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.

The team has officially wrapped up the shoot today and the drama is on track to release as per schedule. Naveen Yerneni, Shiva Nirvana, Vijay Deverakonda are seen celebrating amidst the crew on the last day while they’re cutting a cake. “It is a wrap for #Kushi. Post-production in full swing. In cinemas on 1st September 2023 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam,” the makers tweeted.

While the initial idea was to release the film in December 2022, Samantha’s illness delayed the shoot by a few months. This Vijay and Samantha’s second film together after Mahanati. Shiva Nirvana had worked with the actress for Majili previously. Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, Ali, Sharanya Pon Vannan, Rohini, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar, Sharanya Pradeep form the supporting cast of Kushi.

Hridayam fame Hesham Abdul Wahab is making his Telugu debut as a composer with the project. Shiva Nirvana is the choreographer and also writing the lyrics for all the songs. The first two tracks from the film - Naa Roja Nuvve, Aradhya - are a rage with audiences already, garnering huge numbers on Youtube and music streaming platforms. Saregama has acquired the audio rights of the film.

G Murali is the cinematographer. Jayashree Lakshminarayanan is the production designer for the same while Prawin Pudi is the editor. Uttara Kumar, Chandrika are the art directors. Peter Hein choreographs the action sequences. Rajesh, Harman Kaur, Pallavi Singh are the costume designers.
