After Bheeshma Parvam's unprecedented success, director Amal Neerad has started the shoot of his new project with Kunchacko Boban. A BTS photo from the set of the film has been doing the rounds online, and in it, you can see Amal, Kunchacko, and scriptwriter Unni R deep in conversation.
The film, which is said to be an action thriller, is the first collaboration between Kunchacko and Amal. Jyothirmayi and Sharafudheen also have important roles in it. Sushin Shyam, who has composed the music for Bheeshma Paravam and Kumbalangi Nights, is the music director for the film, while Anend C Chandran is the cinematographer.
Mammootty's film with Amal Neerad
Before his film with Kunchacko, there were reports that Amal Neerad's next project would be with Mammootty. RFT Films, a UK-based distributor of Malayalam films, had tweeted that an announcement about the project would be made on Mammootty's birthday (September 7th), but this did not happen.
Also, Mammootty's friend George had hinted at a sequel to the film Bheeshma Parvam by posting an image of Michael Anjooti (Mammootty's character in the film) on Instagram. The sequel to the cult film Big B, Bilal, was announced during the pandemic, but has shown no signs of progress.
Kunchacko Boban's upcoming projects
Meanwhile, Kunchacko is readying for the release of some of his films. His upcoming release is Chaaver, which is directed by Tinu Pappachan. Chaaver is a political action drama scripted by Joy Mathew that also stars Arjun Ashokan, Sajin Gopu, and Manoj KU in pivotal roles. RDX actor Antony Varghese also plays an important character in the movie, which is touted to feature gripping action scenes. The promotional material and posters for the film promise a thrilling drama, like Tinu's previous films. Chaaver is slated to be released in theatres on September 21.
Grrr is another project of Kunchacko that is currently in the post-production stage. Helmed by Ezra director Jay K, the film is a feel-good drama that features Suraj Venjaramoodu, Shruti Ramachandran, Rajesh Madhavan, and Shobi Thilkan in prominent roles. According to the makers, the film has sequences in which Kunchacko appears with a real lion.
