Actor Kunchacko Boban - who recently starred in critically acclaimed films like Nna Thaan Case Kodu, Nayattu and Ariyippu - has some exciting projects lined up for the near future. Speaking of the latest, Kunchacko is reportedly collaborating with Midhun Manuel Thomas once again, after the success of Anjaam Pathiraa. The new film is said to be a bank heist thriller, produced by Listin Stephen under Magic Frames. There are rumours about it being a big-budget movie, filming for which is scheduled to begin in February 2024.
Midhun Manuel Thomas’ upcoming projects
Anjaam Pathiraa marked the first collaboration between Midhun and Kunchacko. It was an investigative thriller that revolved around the cases probed by Anwar Hussain (Kunchacko), a consulting criminologist. The film turned out to be a major success in 2020, and it went on to become the highest-grossing Malayalam film of the year. Midhun’s next film to be released in the theatres is Abraham Ozler , starring Jayaram. Superstar Mammootty will make a cameo appearance in the film.
Additionally, Midhun has written the script for Garudan, a legal thriller directed by Arun Vrama. It’s seen as a special release for the audiences in Kerala, as the film marks the return of the Suresh Gopi-Biju Menon duo on screen after a long gap. Meanwhile, horror thriller film Phoenix, written by Midhun, is currently in the production stage. It stars Anoop Menon, Aju Varghese and Chandunadh.
Kunchacko Boban’s new films
Kunchacko was most recently seen in the Tinu Pappachan directorial, Chaaver. The actor’s upcoming release includes Grrr, a feel-good entertainer directed by Jay K. The film is in the post-production stage, and will feature Suraj Venjaramoodu, Shruti Ramachandran, Rajesh Madhavan, Anagha and Shobi Thilakan in pivotal roles. Kunchacko is currently shooting for an Amal Neerad project , and is also rumoured to act alongside Manju Warrier in an upcoming Lijo Jose Pellissery film.
