Kumkum star Juhi Parmar on her OTT debut with Yeh Meri Family season 2: I am excited for my audience to see me in a new avatar

Juhi Parmar rose to fame as a television star with her daily soap Kumkum. Since then, the talented actress has been a household name as she has been loved as one of the most iconic characters of Indian television. After two decades of working in television, she is all set to debut on OTT with one of the highly awaited TVF shows called Yeh Meri Family season 2. In a recent statement, Juhi shared her excitement about exploring a new medium.

"I'm glad to be exploring a new medium with Yeh Meri Family! Honestly, the kind of work and experimentation on OTT is brilliant and I am glad that I can take up work across mediums and be able to entertain my audience with each project of mine," the Yeh Chanda Kanoon Hai actress mentioned in the statement.

She further added that she fell in love with her character Nirja when the TVF's slice-of-life series was offered to her because she is a teacher, a wife, a mother and a daughter-in-law, which is so relatable and many women will identify with that one character. 

Juhi also mentioned that Yeh Meri Family has a beautiful 90s flavour and a nostalgic kick for a lot of people as the simplicity of those days, the lives and the intricacies were so different. "I am excited for my audience to see me in a new avatar and I'm looking forward to experimenting more in OTT shows," she added.

Yeh Meri Family Season 2, which also stars Rajesh Kumar, Hetal Gada and Angaad in pivotal roles, is slated to release on May 19 on Amazon miniTV.
