Kudimahaan, which hit screens on March 17, earlier this year, has made its digital premiere. The film is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Kudimahaan, directed by Prakash N (of Naalaya Iyakkunar fame), stars Vijay Sivan and Chandini Tamilarasan in the lead. The film also has Sethu Raman, Suresh Chakravarthi and Namo Narayanan as part of the supporting cast.
The plot revolves around a middle-class man Mathi, who works at a firm that refills cash at ATMs. Though he is a teetotaller, whose life takes a turn as he begins to act drunk in front of his family. When Mathi discovers the reason for the same, he is completely taken aback.
His friends help him salvage the situation and get back to his regular life. The film opened to positive reviews from the critics and audience and was billed as a laugh riot, despite not having many popular names on board.
During the promotions, the film's director Prakash said that he watched Suresh Chakravarthi's mannerisms on Bigg Boss Tamil and had quite liked them and decided to get him on board.
Suresh Chakravarthi had stated that the film was a fantastic depiction of a man who would get intoxicated despite not being drunk. The veteran actor had stated that he was a director's actor and that he would completely adapt himself to the vision of the director.
Music for the film is by Tanuj Menon, cinematography by Meyyendiran and editing by Shibu Neel Jr. The first-look poster of the film was released by Vetri Maaran, Arunraja Kamaraj and Ponram. The film is bankrolled by Scenario Media works.
