An air of optimism surrounds the lead-up to the release of Kshetrapathi, the new film starring Naveen Shankar and Archana Jois. The two were not very long ago seen in Ramenahalli Jagannatha's Hondisi Bareyari and are now back together as the lead pair in the promising social drama Kshetrapathi, which has been directed by Shrikant Katagi.

Although the upcoming film is no love story, one gathers that there is a lot of scope for heartfelt romance in the story and one glimpse of it is revealed in the latest single, titled "Pallakki". Composed by KGF 2 and Salaar man Ravi Basrur, Pallakki is a song that brims with earthiness and listeners on the internet are raving about the fact that it also carries the essence of Uttara Karnataka. On social media, too, Pallakki has been receiving positive responses.

Kinnal Raj is the lyricist and Santhosh Venky has lent his voice to the song. The visuals of the song show many tender and sweet moments between the characters played by Archana Jois and Naveen Shankar, who are immersed in festivities.

As far as the film is concerned, Kshetrapathi is set to release on August 18, becoming Naveen Shankar's first solo release of the year. Naveen has had a good run so far in 2023 with two noteworthy performances in Hondisi Bareyiri and Gurudev Hoysala. In this vein, Kshetrapathi's commercial success will further strengthen his cause as an actor.

In his previous conversation with OTTplay, Naveen Shankar shared that Kshetrapathi is centred around the many prevailing issues faced by farmers in the northern part of Karnataka. The character he plays is compelled to quit his plush job in the city so as to participate in the crusades back home.
