KS Ravikumar: The huge success of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo should ensure Vijay's foray into politics

The hype associated with Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo needs no introduction. The makers are planning to begin aggressive promotions in September. The movie is releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi on October 19. The audio launch event of the film is said to be happening in the last week of September.

Cinephiles are eagerly looking forward to the box office prospects of the movie which is touted to be the biggest ever Tamil film of 2023. Its theatrical and digital rights have been sold for a record price.

The recent Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer has set the bar high in terms of the various targets Leo should aim for in several territories. The latter is expected to become the biggest hit for Vijay. Despite competition in Karnataka, Telugu states and Bollywood, the project is poised to take a huge opening.

Veteran director KS Ravikumar has now opened up on the humongous expectations riding on the movie. The filmmaker said that he can't wait to watch the movie and that it is carrying never-before-heard hype. He further added something which has left fans of Vijay excited. The senior director expressed his wish to see Leo turn out to be a huge hit, and wanted the success to enable Vijay to become a formidable force in politics.

There have been speculations doing the rounds on Vijay taking a break after he completes his next movie with Venkat Prabhu. He is expected to announce his political plans soon.

Some of his fans are in favour of the star taking a plunge into politics while there are those who want him to concentrate only on films. There are reports that he might take a huge step before the 2026 Assembly Elections in Tamil Nadu.
