A few months ago, it was revealed that Hrithik Roshan and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan had locked the plot for the much-awaited Krrish installment, Krrish 4. However, the recent update about the film states that the team is working on the conceptualization of the movie and will lock the script by the end of 2024 and the shoot of the film will begin in 2025.
According to Midday, a source close to the production revealed that Hrithik Roshan will be actively involved in the conceptualization of the next installment while he will also be simultaneously shooting for another franchise, War 2. The reports also say that the actor will be collaborating with his father and their in-house team of writers for the superhero saga to solidify the primary idea for Krrish 4 this year.
According to the publication, a source said, “The project is currently in development. Hrithik has scheduled brainstorming sessions throughout the summer. Both Rakesh and he wants to deliver a story that will exceed expectations.”
The narrative of the film, according to the earlier reports stated that Krrish 4 will explore the realm of intergalactic travel. The team is eyeing to kickstart the shoot of the fourth installment of the franchise in 2025. The source added, "The team has explored and subsequently shot down a lot of ideas. The makers are certain that if the story doesn’t work, they won’t go ahead with it. That’s why they have dedicated so many months to finding the right story to take the superhero’s journey ahead."

The franchise of the film kicked off with Koi... Mil Gaya, which also starrer Rekha and Preity Zinta. The film was a hit amongst the audiences. Krrish 2 and 3 starred Priyanka Chopra opposite Hrithik Roshan and was equally loved by the audiences. All eyes are now on the fourth franchise, which has been eagerly awaited by the fans.
Earlier there were reports that the makers wanted to reach out to Priyanka for the female lead. A source was quoted as saying, "There is no chance for Zinta to return to the franchise, but the makers want Priyanka to revisit the role and are planning to reach out to her soon to check for her interest. The team is hoping to seal the deal with her."
