Krrish 4: Jadoo to make a comeback? Rakesh Roshan reacts and blames budget issues for delays

While we are constantly living in anticipation of movies and tracking their box office performance, there is always an abundance of buzz. In recent times, whether it’s Pushpa 2, Stree 2, or their follow-ups, they dominate mainstream headlines. But this doesn’t mean the demand for the OG franchise has subsided. We’re talking about Krrish 4, the next installment of the Koi Mil Gaya franchise that started in 2003. The world has been waiting for the fourth film for over a decade now, as Krrish 3 released in 2013. Ever since the news was confirmed that the movie is indeed on track, there have been countless rumors about it. Now, Rakesh Roshan, the director of the franchise, has finally provided a clear update on where the Hrithik Roshan starrer stands and whether Jadoo will make a comeback.

Krrish 4 Delay Explained by Rakesh Roshan

For the uninitiated, Krrish 4 has been in development for a while, with no concrete updates for a long time. The movie is set to revive Hrithik Roshan as the lead star, bringing him back in the superhero avatar. Whether Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut will return remains a mystery. There have also been rumors about Jadoo’s return in the fourth film. Rakesh Roshan, the director of the franchise, has now spoken about the movie and revealed why there have been delays in taking it to the floor. 

In a conversation with Movie Talkies, Rakesh Roshan, who is currently basking in the positive reviews of The Roshans, a documentary about his family and legacy, shared insights on Krrish 4 and how it is shaping up. He confirmed that the movie is still on track, but the delays are due to budget issues. However, he emphasized his determination to fast-track the film and revealed that it will be a high-budget spectacle.

Rakesh Roshan said, “Krrish 4 will happen soon, for sure. Actually, it’s caught up with budget issues. It’s a high-budget film and requires a large scale. If we try to cut the budget, the storyline will suffer, and I don’t want to do it that way. I will not compromise on anything. I want to get the budget and scale right, and only then will we start working on it.”

Will Jadoo Return?

In the same conversation, the filmmaker addressed rumors about Jadoo returning in the fourth installment. While he refrained from revealing any details, he advised people not to believe all the speculation. He said, “No, no, I am not going to reveal anything, but our script is ready. I have the idea and am happy about it. Don’t believe any rumors. I’ll start once we are ready.”
