Krrish is India's most celebrated superhero franchise. The first installment of the Hrithik Roshan-starrer was released in 2006. It was followed by a theatrical release of Krrish 3 in 2013. And there's a lot of excitement amongst the audience about Krrish 4. Hrithik Roshan will be seen as the main lead and it was recently reported that Shraddha Kapoor joined the cast. The latest development suggests otherwise.
Is Shraddha Kapoor a part of Krrish 4?
Times Now reported that Shraddha Kapoor would likely begin shooting for Krrish 4 soon. However, a new report suggests the casting process of the Hrithik Roshan-starrer hasn't commenced yet.
"Krrish 4 is India's most ambitious superhero film in the making and the pre-production work for the film is on in full force. The creative team is currently adding final touches to the script. All casting rumours surrounding the film are untrue. We haven't even begun the casting process yet," a source told Bollywood Hungama.
Shraddha Kapoor's latest release
Meanwhile, Shraddha is busy enjoying the stupendous success of her film Stree 2. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the horror-comedy returned with its second installment after six years. Shraddha reprised her character along with Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. In the second part, Bhumi Rajgor replaced Flora Saini as Stree.
Stree 2 is all set to mint Rs 300 crore (gross) at the worldwide box office. Despite a BO clash with Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein, Shraddha's film is leading the number game.
Hrithik Roshan's upcoming projects
As for Hrithik, he is currently filming for War 2, which is being directed by Ayan Mukerji. The actor will be seen alongside Kiara Advani and Jr NTR. The buzz is that Hrithik is likely to play Alia Bhatt's mentor in YRF's upcoming film, Alpha. However, an official announcement is awaited.
