Director Koratala Siva, the man behind many blockbusters like Bharath Ane Nenu, Srimanthudu, Janatha Garage, has been extensively working on the pre-production of NTR30, his next, for a year now. Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor play the leads in the film produced by NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts, which formally commenced in Hyderabad. Here’s what the filmmaker said at the launch event.
“I am very happy about reuniting with Jr NTR after Janatha Garage. He is one of the best actors of our generation. The film is set in the forgotten coastal lands of India. The men in the lands are closer to beasts than humans. They’re not scared of Gods and even death but what do they fear for? Let’s wait and see (hinting at Jr NTR).Fear is necessary and to what extent will the lead character go to instil that emotion? It’s going to be a great emotional ride,” he said.
The filmmaker promised fans and movie lovers that this is going to be his best work ever. “When I take up a big idea like this, I need a great army. Anirudh Ravichander needs to put his heart and soul to attain the soundscape I desire and I still remember the excitement in his eyes after I narrated the script. He says I wrote it with great intensity. I felt so joyful to listen to that,” the director shared.
Talking about other technicians, he stated editor Sreekar Prasad has been a constant guidance from day one when he began writing the story. “Rathnavelu is a great lensman and he’s been working with me for over a year. I don’t think anyone but for production designer Sabu Cyril can translate my vision into reality. Yugandhar has been my longtime friend and I’ve known him since I started as a writer. There’s a lot of VFX in the film and hopefully we have a great journey.”
Jr NTR-Koratala Siva’s earlier collaboration, Janatha Garage, can be watched on Disney+ Hotstar. The filmmaker last directed the Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan starrer Acharya.
