Koogle Kuttappa was one among the remake projects in Tamil which piqued the interest of movie buffs when it was announced. Debutant Sabari-Saravanan duo, former associate directors of KS Ravikumar, were roped in to helm the project which is the remake of Malayalam movie Android Kunjappan Version 5.25.

Ravikumar himself has played the lead in the Tamil version apart from producing it under the banner of RK Celluloids. Kamal Haasan-starrer Thenali (streaming on YouTube) which released in 2000 was the previous movie he had bankrolled earlier. Bigg Boss Tamil fame Tharshan and Losliya, along with Yogi Babu, were brought on board to play pivotal characters in the film. 

What's Koogle Kuttappa about?

The movie's story revolves around the changes that happen in a septuagenarian's life after he develops a special bonding with a robot who fulfils his needs. How his son and daughter in law convince him to maintain a distance from the dangerous robot forms the rest of the story.

The makers had made a few changes to the remake version to suit the Tamil nativity. The film which was released on May 6 opened to lukewarm response from film lovers. The performance of Ravikumar was appreciated, though. 

When and where to watch Koogle Kuttappa online?

The movie is dropping on aha Tamil on June 3. An official confirmation on the same is expected to happen any time soon. Arvi has handled cinematography for the film which has music composed by Ghibran. Praveen Antony and Sivakumar have handled editing and art direction respectively.

Madhan Karky, Viveka and Arivu have penned lyrics for Koogle Kuttappa which has dance choreography by Sandy and Viji Sathish. The project was initially titled Google Kuttappan, but the makers chose the current title owing to copyright issues.
