Kondal Teaser: Antony Varghese is back with a realistic action thriller

Antony Varghese is on his way to emerge as the new action hero of the Malayalam film industry. The actor, who is best known for his angry young man roles, will be next seen in the upcoming action thriller Kondal. The project, directed by Ajit Mampally and bankrolled by the makers of the blockbuster film RDX, is gearing up for an Onam 2024 release. Ahead of the release, the makers revealed the Kondal teaser on social media, recently.

Kondal teaser is out

The 1.28-minute-long teaser of Kondal suggests that Antony Varghese is gearing up to make a comeback in his signature action-hero avatar in the Ajit Mampally directorial. The teaser suggests that the film is set in the backdrop of a coastal village in Kerala, and revolves around the protagonist Manuel, a Gulf-returned young man who is now an alcoholic and leads an aimless life. From the teaser, it is safe to assume that Kondal deals with a small clash that eventually leads to a bigger conflict between the protagonist, and a group of powerful men.

Antony Varghese, the leading man who is best known for his action films, is seen in a tailor-made role in the Kondal teaser. However, it does remind us of his previous characters, in parts. Sam CS’ electrifying background score and Deepak D Menon’s visuals perfectly complement the high-octane, realistic action film. The glimpses of thrilling action set pieces in the Kondal teaser suggest that the movie is going to be a real treat for action cinema lovers.

Kondal cast and crew

Along with Antony Varghese, Kondal features a massive star cast including Turbo fame actor Raj B Shetty, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Nandu, Manikanda Rajan, Pramod Veliyanadu, Prathibha, Gauthami Nair, Usha, Jaya Kurup, Sarath Sabha, Siraj, Rahul Rajagopal, and others in pivotal roles. Sam CS composed the songs and the original score. Sreejith Sarang handles the editing. The makers are expected to reveal the official trailer of Kondal, along with the film’s release date, in a couple of weeks.
