Latest reports suggest that the theatrical release date of Antony Varghese's upcoming film, Kondal, has been confirmed. It has been reported that the revenge drama will hit the big screen on September 13. Filming for this project, which is bankrolled by Sophia Paul, producer of RDX, under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters, concluded in April. The action drama is directed by debutante Ajith Mampally.
A debutante will play the lead female role. Gautami Nair has another significant role in this movie. Shabeer Kallarakkal and Kannada actor Raj B Shetty are also prominently appearing in this film.
Kondal, a full-fledged action drama
At first glance, the movie appears to be an action drama about revenge that takes place in a seaside town. It also implies that there will be some suspenseful scenes mixed in with a realistic depiction of the residents of the coastal community. The short clip begins with a background voice saying, "There's a place between life and death, the high seas!" "Here, what's more frightening than its depth is a gust of wind lashing in every direction," he says, alluding to thrilling action sequences. Almost seventy days of filming were mostly spent at sea.

Other Onam releases in 2024
September marks the official start of the Onam season, and expectations are high following a remarkable year for Malayalam cinema, filled with unexpected hits in the first half of 2024.
The makers of Kondal appear to have made the decision to capitalise on their high expectations for the production's RDX, which, despite being released alongside films starring big stars during the same holiday season last year, proved to be an immense success, by releasing the film in theatres on Onam. On the same day as Kondal, two more Malayalam films are anticipated to be released theatrically.
Barroz, Mohanlal's first directorial, is scheduled to open in theatres on September 12. Fans of the actor, who have been eagerly awaiting news on the film, were greatly relieved to hear the update.
