The makers of Antony Varghese's upcoming film have dropped a major update today (June 29). They unveiled the movie’s title as Kondal. Filming for this project, which is bankrolled by Sophia Paul, producer of RDX, under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters, concluded in April. The action drama is directed by debutante Ajith Mampally.
The lead female role will be played by a debutante. In this film, Gautami Nair plays yet another important role. Raj B Shetty, a Kannada actor, and Shabeer Kallarakkal are also prominently featured in this movie.
The film's first look suggests this is an action drama about revenge set in a coastal town. It also suggests that the film will feature a realistic portrayal of the people living in the coastal community along with a few suspenseful moments.
A background voice opens the brief clip by stating, "There's a place between life and death, the high seas!" He makes reference to exciting action scenes when he states, "Here, what's more frightening than its depth is a gust of wind lashing in every direction."

September marks the start of the Onam season, and after an incredible year for Malayalam cinema, full of high expectations and surprising hits, anticipations are high. This movie will hit theatres during Onam, the producers have confirmed.
After RDX's huge success, this is Weekend Blockbusters' seventh production. The film's makers seem to have decided to benefit on their high hopes for the production's RDX, which proved to be an immense success during the same holiday season last year despite being released alongside films starring big stars, by releasing the movie in theatres on Onam.
On the Kureepuzha set in Kollam, a 100-foot boat was built specifically for the movie. A 20-foot shark was just added to the collection of film props. The majority of the almost seventy days of filming were spent at sea.
