An update on Kondal's theatrical release in the UK and Europe was released by the makers of the movie today (September 17). Unlike the other Onam releases, which made their global theatrical debut on September 12, the action movie will be released on big screens in these countries on September 20. The Kondal cast and crew have revealed the specifics of the theatres that will be showing the movie.

Kondal UK, Europe theatrical release

Given its action scenes and stunning cinematography, it is anticipated that this action drama would bring in more people to the theatres in the UK and European countries. According to Indian box office tracker Sacnilk, the Antony Varghese-starrer did well on its opening day at the box office, with an estimated Rs 0.55 crore in India.

But unlike the other Onam releases, Ajayante Randam Moshanam and Kishkindha Kaandam, which are getting fantastic reviews from viewers, it hasn't been able to leave a lasting impression at the box office. Kondal is guided by Antony Varghese's performance and the power-packed action choreography.

Following its theatrical release, the makers confirmed its digital streaming platform to be Netflix. It is logical to assume that the movie will be available on the platform after its 40-day theatrical run. Ajit Mampally is the director of Kondal, which is produced by Weekend Blockbusters, the same production house that brought in the successful movie RDX.

The main character of the movie is Manuel, who decides to accept a job on a fishing boat that is sailing with a crew of roughly 15 men after getting into difficulty in his coastal community of Anchuthengu. After one of them passes away, tensions on the boat rise between the two groups of crew members—one wishing to stay on course and the other, lead by Manuel, desiring to reach the shoreline. The main plot of the film is around how Manuel's presence among the crew causes some of them to feel uneasy about the truths they have tried to hide and the events that transpire.
