Konda trailer: Thrigun, Irra Mor star in Konda Murali's biopic, tracing the journey of an uncompromising leader

Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) is not new to biopics and being open about his political stance through his films. After tracing the journeys of controversial personalities like Dawood Ibrahim, Paritala Ravi, Veerappan and Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga, the filmmaker has now set his eyes on the story of another political leader Konda Murali. The biopic of the latter is titled Konda, which features Thrigun and Irra Mor in the lead. The film's trailer was released at the Konda family's political camp in Hanumakonda, Telangana.

The trailer begins with RGV's voice over where he talks of extreme situations giving birth to extreme personalities and that Konda Murali (Thrigun) was born out of the need to revolt against the feudal lords in a village. This glimpse from the film charts the rise of Konda Murali, from being a local figure to his growth as political leader, and showcases how he has confronted the many obstacles that have come his way. Tulasi and Irra Mor are cast as the character's on-screen mother and love interest respectively.

Konda is replete with all elements you expect from a quintessential RGV film - high-voltage drama, gory action sequences, intense dialogue-baazi, rousing background score and a display of raw emotions. The treatment of the story appears raw and rustic and the film promises to be gripping tale about the big, bad world of politics. While it's quite clear that the story is told from Konda Murali's point of view, it remains to be seen if we get to see a balanced picture of his political rivals.

DSR has composed the songs while Anand has come up with the music score. Malharbhatt Joshi has cranked the camera for Konda with Manish Thakur handling duties as an editor. Barath Kumar has penned the dialogues. Bankrolled by Sushmitha Patel in collaboration with Agasthya Company, the film's crew includes stunt director B Srikanth, choreographers Suchitra Chandra Bose, RK and Nagesh. The release date of Konda is yet to be announced.
