One week has passed since the unimaginable heinous crime occurred. The brutal rape and murder case of a young trainee female doctor at Kolkata R G Kar Medical College and Hospital has sparked nationwide outrage and widespread protests. Junior doctors reportedly suspended their duties and demanded justice for their deceased colleague. New reports indicate that the horrific crime may have involved multiple assistants. Reports claim it's a gang rape. 

Bollywood actors reaction on the rape-murder case

While the whole nation, especially the West Bengal state, took the initiative to protest for justice through a procession for the whole night yesterday, at 11:15 pm, on August 14. However, just a few hours back, Bollywood stars like Alia Bhatt, Ayushmann Khurrana, Parineeti Chopra reacted and voiced their protest through social media, just after two days of actor-turned-Lok Sabha member Kangana Ranaut's demanding CBI investigation. 

Alia Bhatt shared a long post claiming that another day of realisation that women are not safe, anywhere. While remembering the Nirbhaya-case that occurred in 2012, the actress expressed her shame that nothing has changed even after a decade. 

On the other hand, while Ayushmann Khurrana dropped a poignant video of reciting a poem, “Kaash Main Bhi Ladka Hoti (I wish I were a boy)”, that will leave you shaken, Parineeti Chopra shared several posts that will make you feel ashamed of being a human. She wrote, “If it's too difficult for you to read, imagine what it was for HER! Disgusting, Horrific. Hang him by his b**!”

Latest reports on Kolkata rape-murder case

According to Dr. Subarna Goswami, the injuries that are found on the 31-year-old doctor's body cannot be the work of one single person. The doctor’s parents presented the reports to Calcutta High Court that the victim was brutally entangled and being assaulted by multiple people.
