Intriguing plot
The story revolves around the mysterious death of Leila (Meenakshi Chaudhary), a model with a huge fan base. Vijay Antony as a detective
Every time Vijay Antony has played mysterious characters, the film has been received well. Take for instance Salim, Naan or Pichaikkaran. Hence, Vijay Antony getting back as a detective is sure to pique interest among the audience. In Kolai, Vinayak is a strong believer that there is no such thing called a perfect murder and that every murder has a flaw.
Ensemble star cast
Kolai has a star-studded star cast comprising Vijay Antony, Ritika Singh, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Murli Sharma, Siddhartha Shankar, Kishore Kumar, John Vijay, Arjun Chidambaram and Samkit Bohra. Ritika Singh has managed to impress the audience and here, too, she plays a crucial role in the investigation. Meenakshi Chaudhary as the model is quite interesting, too.
Music and BGM
The film has a brand new rendition of the iconic number, Paartha Nyabagam from the film, Pudhiya Paravai. And what's interesting is that the new version is sung by Shreya Ghoshal herself. The vibes of the song and the BGM already add to the intriguing element.
