Koffee With Karan Season 8: “I knew she was the one..” DeepVeer spill secrets on their relationship, dream proposal, and more!

The highly anticipated season 8 of Koffee With Karan opened with a bang after Bollywood’s iconic couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, adorably called DeepVeer graced Karan Johars’s couch. The first episode is quite special for the fans of KWK chat show as the last episode premiered over a year ago. Here’s the special highlights of the show!

The ‘blockbuster’ introduction

KWS host and acclaimed filmmaker Karan Johar introduced his first special guests as Bollywood’s "It couple" and a "blockbuster couple."Karan Johar’s “Royal Couple” looked absolutely elegant in their Black attires.

OMG! Ranveer Singh is the dream man of girls. The way he intricately described Deepika’s appearance when he first met her at Bhansali house is too cute. “She walks like a gush of wind..She is in the white chikankari like a Sadgi ki murat,”said Ranveer Singh. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actor also narrated a funny dinner incident and how his ‘moment’ to impress Deepika turned into a unique hilarious crab moment. Recalling the conversation, he said that there was a small piece of crab stuck in Padukone's teeth and he tried to bring that to her notice, however, Deepika's unexpected, "Achcha? Clean it," left Ranveer surprised and he ended up putting his pinky finger to take it out.

What led to their magical relationship?

Both Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh came out of their difficult relationships before they eventually started dating together. Deepika revealed that she was actually not looking for something serious at the time she met Singh because of her previous ‘difficult relationships.’ But then they went on dates, vacations and how later one thing led to another.

DeepVeer’s Timeline

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh became DeepVeer after they officially started dating in 2015 post their first meeting in 2012. “I knew she was the one,” Ranveer Singh admirably admitted that he knew Deepika was the one for him in just 6 months they started dated.

Ranveer also accepted that he officially proposed to his now-wife Deepika Padukone in 2015 and then they were secretly engaged till three years. He even credited ‘Ram-Leela’ for giving them the space to know each other better and then how they became ‘inseparable’ on the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie set.

Dream Proposal

Actor Ranveer Singh took a trip to the happy times when Deepika got all overwhelmed and emotional before saying"Yes" to his dreamy proposal. He recalled that he carried a diamond ring with him on their Maldives trip and just when they were in the middle of the sea with ethereal view, he went down on his knees and popped the question, and the rest is history!

The first episode is a total ‘Masala-filled episode’ with lots of funny incidents, emotional awwdorable moments and Karan Johar’s witty chit-chat.
