Karan Johar is back to his hosting duties with the seventh edition of the hugely popular chat show Koffee with Karan. Things are shinier and raunchier than ever, evidently, and with the current and the previous seasons seeing a three-year break, there’s a lot to dish on as far as host Karan is concerned. Having kicked off the first episode of season 7 with the Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani jodi of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, star kids Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan featured in episode #2 and the internet is already abuzz with gossip.
As anticipated, Karan Johar would prod the two young actors about their life, work, and love, and in the same vein, slyly question them about their current love interests. While Janhvi remained coy about her response, the vivacious Sara Ali Khan was quick to reply that she fancies the Telugu superstar and heartthrob Vijay Devarakonda. What then unfolded was a fun little game of pointing fingers between Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor as they asked one another if they liked the Liger actor.
“Why are you guys passing Vijay Deverakonda like a slice of cheese?” asked Karan Johar to stop the chaos which lasted until Janhvi Kapoor voluntarily resigned from the equation, thus offering Sara the “cheese”. To this, Sara Ali Khan said, “We can’t be after the same slice of cheese like you said and let me tell everyone that she is now giving it to me.”
Karan Johar chipped in at this point and asserted that his famous couch has manifested many relationships in the past and Sara Ali Khan, if she wishes so, could be part of the same elite league. However, the Atrangi Re actor confessed that she wouldn’t want to use the power of the couch to change her relationship status but rather attract the opportunity to work with directors like Karan Johar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, along with a bit of fame. “I don’t want to date him (Vijay Devarakonda). Saying so here was a mistake,” she said and added that “Rishtas can come later”.
Sara Ali Khan is slated to work with Luka Chuppi director Laxman Utekar for her next while Janhvi Kapoor has recently wrapped Good Luck Jerry, the remake of Tamil film Kolamaavu Kokila.
