The aroma of Karan Johar's Koffee is brewing once again, and this time, he's serving up some sisterly spice with Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor. In a Koffee With Karan first, the iconic talk show welcomes two siblings to grace the infamous couch, promising a dynamic conversation sure to be as sizzling as it is sweet. The previous episode was also iconic as the Royal family graced the couch together—the mother-son duo of Sharmila Tagore and Saif Ali Khan. Their journey, spanning generations of Bollywood royalty, and their refreshingly honest confessions kept audiences enthralled throughout the episode.
Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor's emotional sides
Having unravelled the mysteries of Janhvi and Khushi’s dating lives (and their impressive ability to keep it hush-hush!), we are now turning our attention to the inner issues of their family. Witness the sisters face head-on some of the most personal issues they have encountered, revealing a side of them you never knew existed.
Sridevi's death
We all know how devastating it was to learn about the news of the iconic actress Sridevi's death back in 2018. She has been so much loved by her fans that the news shook the whole nation. The saddest part is that we got to know about her fans’ reactions, but we never got the chance to know about her family’s reaction, or how her husband Boney Kapoor and her daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor are still dealing with her death even after six years.
Janhvi Kapoor's reaction after hearing the news
While talking about Yash Johar’s death, when Karan Johar asked the sisters why they became so strong after Sridevi's death, Janhvi shared that Khushi has been very strong from the very beginning. She is like the pillar of their family. She recalled the saddest moment of their lives and shared that the moment she got the call, she heard Khushi crying in her room. “I think I barged into her room howling and crying. But what I do remember, Karan, is that she looked at me, and she just stopped crying.
“She just stopped crying; she just sat next to me and started comforting me. She just never…I have never seen her cry about it since then," Janhvi further shared.
Khushi Kapoor being the 'strong' person in the house
Meanwhile, Khushi shared that she has always felt like she's the 'strong' one in the family. After hearing this, Karan Johar cheered them up by saying that these strong and powerful emotions will always help her cope with the trolls she will be facing in the coming days from social media, and we also agree to that!
