Karan Johar's original leading ladies, Rani Mukerji and Kajol, are the most recent guests on Koffee With Karan 8, following Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. Going by the promo, it seems like an entertaining episode of the season, in which the stars talk about films and divulge little secrets, etc. As per the latest reports, the filmmaker mentioned on his talk show how much his father, Yash Johar, adored both Kajol and Rani.

Yash Johar's cherished connection with Kajol and Rani Mukerji

Sisters Kajol and Rani Mukerji will join Karan on the Koffee couch for the upcoming eighth episode of Koffee With Karan. Their equation with KJo is all about how true friends are there for you through the good times and the bad, but true friends really show their mettle when the going gets tough. Rani and Kajol stuck by the filmmaker during the hardest times of his life. In discussing this, he remarked that his father's untimely death was all the more tragic given the man's youthful vigour.

Karan recalls feeling a tremendous amount of love from both Rani and Kajol. They showed up without question or hesitation to offer steadfast support during that trying moment. He stated, "Like right through, I knew he had a special place in his heart for the both of you. He loved you both. I think it was because it was his son’s first movie and also because he had known you as a child. He has seen you grow up. I think he would say the most wonderful things about you both. I think, like you rightfully said, it's a tough time when you lose a loved one with whom you kind of set up a relationship."

Rani Mukerji reflects on maturity and relationships

Rani shared that there is a marked difference between being 17 and 40. People mature and gain wisdom throughout time, learning not to sweat the small stuff and instead concentrating on what really matters in life. She claims that some people take advantage of people's increasing isolation. Rani went on to say that external people talk too much, and the gap widens. Rarely will one see someone who actively seeks a united human community, and there will always be those who wish to further damage others.

The upcoming episode of Koffee With Karan 8 will drop on Disney+ Hotstar on November 30 at midnight.
