Karan Johar is back with yet another season of ‘Koffee With Karan’, and Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor graced the controversial couch in the fourth episode of season 8. The episode was a full roller coaster ride and had so many revelations. Amid all the fun chatter, we found Alia in a vulnerable moment where she spoke about breaking down when someone almost saw her daughter Raha's face.
It is a known fact that Alia and Ranbir Kapoor are quite protective of their little one and don’t want her to be photographed. Talking about the same, the actress mentioned the time when she broke down when a side of Raha’s face was visible in one of the photographs on Instagram.
During one of the conversations regarding how the children of all three (Karan, Alia, and Kareena) are part of a "legacy friendship", Karan quizzes Alia about the time when she broke down, assuming that someone posted a picture of Raha on Instagram.
In response to Karan, Alia shared that she had a hectic schedule while filming Rocky Aur Rani... and addressed the phenomenon of bouncing back. The actress said, “It takes really long for your body to bounce back. I was not sleeping at night; I was feeding and rushing in between shoots. So, I remember calling Ranbir and saying, ‘Listen, I’m finding it very difficult’. So he pushed his work and said, ‘Do not worry. I’m going to come pick her up. I’m going to take her. I’ve pushed my work. She’ll be with me'.”
She further added that it was the separation anxiety that piled up, and she broke down. "So that guilt carried on, and one and a half days later, when I travelled back, I saw a photo where the side of her face was visible, and I just broke down,” Alia shared.
Alia then went on and said, "Honestly, we’re proud of our baby. But it’s just like there were too many emotions put together, and I’m so protective of my loved ones that I felt like, ‘Oh God! I don’t want to have that conversation. But I realised that I was just exhausted and overwhelmed at that time.”
For the uninitiated, 'Koffee with Karan 8' airs on Disney+ Hotstar every Thursday. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh graced the couch for the first episode, while Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol were the guests in the second episode.
