Koffee With Karan 7: Maheep Kapoor recalls being made to feel like an 'unsuccessful wing of the Kapoor family'

As a brand-new trio sits down on the couch for the twelfth episode of Hotstar Specials Koffee With Karan Season 7, the topics continue to bubble. Gauri Khan, who has been absent from the sofa for 17 years, is this time welcomed by the show's host and filmmaker, Karan Johar. Maheep Kapoor and Bhavana Pandey, who are close friends of theirs and are making their Koffee debuts, are also present. The three women discuss Bollywood parties and airport outfits while maintaining an aura of candour, humour, and wit.

No one is more aware of the fleeting nature of fame than celebrities. Sanjay Kapoor's wife, Maheep Kapoor, had seen this in person. She had to endure the suffering of having her celebrity diminish along with her family. In the most recent episode, she succinctly described the situation. She said that there were periods when Sanjay sat at home for years without a job and money was scarce. Along with the flash and glamour, that is what her kids have grown up seeing.

Being a member of one of Bollywood's largest families did not make life any simpler. She continued that sometimes the people around her did make her feel like they were the unsuccessful wing of the Kapoor family.

Earlier, on Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, Maheep had spoken about Sanjay cheating on her during their earlier years of marriage. She had said that at the beginning of her marriage, Sanjay committed some sort of indiscretion. Together with Shanaya, she left. Maheep defended herself, but she also had a new kid at the time. Again, her child comes first for her as a mother and a woman.

She owed her daughter this incredible father, who is also amazing. She had a duty to herself. And if she had ended this relationship, Maheep would have regretted it her entire life, if she could go back in time. Because this is their haven, her home is where her kids and husband can feel safe; they require tranquillity. Sanjay, she believes, also delivers that to her.

The upcoming episode of Koffee With Karan Season 7 will stream on Disney+ Hotstar at midnight on Thursday.
