KLIKK brings Uttam Kumar’s films in July

July belongs to Mahanayak Uttam Kumar! On July 24, the actor breathed his last, and till today Bengalis soak in the spirit of the actor’s lifelong works throughout the month. He passed away 43 years ago, but his stardom is still intact. The web platform KLIKK is celebrating the month by delivering a special program named 43/32 Uttam Sarani. 

The platform will host 31 films by Uttam Kumar throughout the month. In some of them, he is a romantic hero, and in some, he is a villain. Some of them are rom-coms. KLIKK picks films that are relatively lesser known. 

Shyamali, Kankabatir Ghat, Bicharak, Saheb Bibi Golam, Ekti Rat, Sesh Onko, Kokhono Megh, Nagar Darpane, and Hotel Snow Fox are some of the movies on the list. 

Suchitra Sen, Supriya Devi, Aparna Sen, Mala Sinha, Sandhya Ray, Sabitri Chattopadhyay, Kaberi Basu, and other actresses will be seen as Uttam’s heroines in those movies. 

This news proves that Uttam Kumar is still glowing in the Bengali people’s memory, even after so many years of his death.
