Last year was the first time Salman Khan revealed the show's first competitor before the premiere of Bigg Boss 16. It was the singing of the Tajik artist Abdu Rozik. At the press conference, he dropped the bombshell that Abdu would be appearing in his film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. The singer-actor's time on the show was successful, and he attracted a large fan base because of his genuine nature. Unfortunately for his devoted following, Abdu was nowhere to be found on Eid this year when the highly anticipated Bollywood film finally hit theatres. Many people were let down, and some were sceptical that he was even present, to begin with.

The Tajik singer claimed in an interview with the Indian Express that he had previously shot for the film but that some scenes would need to be reshot. Unfortunately, by that time, he had committed to appearing on Bigg Boss 16, so he was unavailable. Abdu said that he did scenes for the movie, but some of the sequences didn't turn out the way the director had hoped. They required an extra four days so he could reshoot the scenes. However, Abdu had already entered the Bigg Boss house, and it is common knowledge that contestants cannot quit the show once they have entered. Because of this, he was unable to wrap up filming, and his scenes were ultimately cut. Undoubtedly, he had filmed scenes for the movie. According to Abdu, he will be working with Salman Bhai again shortly.

The singer informed the general public that he would be playing a mobster named "Chota Bhaijaan" in the upcoming Salman flick. In response to a question about whether or not they keep in touch following Bigg Boss, Abdu gushed over his favourite Bollywood star, saying that Salman is like an elder brother to him. The singer has not completely cut ties with him. He is the chota bhaijaan to his bada bhaijaan. Messages and phone conversations keep them in constant contact. Everything is fine, and Abdu loves Salman.
