According to trade experts, the Dinjith Ayyathan directorial is nearing the Rs. 15 crore mark at the Kerala box office, when it completed 8 days at the theatres.

While considering the current box office trends, and the increasing word-of-mouth publicity of Kishkindha Kaandam, the movie has all chances to earn the blockbuster status. Trade experts suggests that that the Asif Ali starrer is expected to cross the Rs. 50 crore mark at the worldwide box office, by the time it completes the first month of its release. In that case, it would be a great achievement for the film, which was made with a moderate budget and started slowly at the box office.

Asif Ali appears as protagonist Ajay Chandran KV, a simple man with a tragic past, in the Dinjith Ayyathan directorial. Vijayaraghavan plays the role of his father Appu Pillai, while Aparna Balamurali appears as Ajay’s newly-wedded second wife, Aparna. Jagadish, Ashokan, Aarav, Vyshnavi Raj, Shebin Benson, Major Ravi, Nizhalgal Ravi, Nishan, Kottayam Ramesh, and others essay supporting roles. Mujeeb Majeed composed the music score.
