The mystery drama film crossed this major milestone at the box office within the first 12 days of its release. Thus, the Dinjith Ayyathan directorial has emerged as the first-ever solo film in the career of its leading man Asif Ali, to cross the prestigious Rs 50 crore mark. The movie registered a massive second Monday (Day 12) at the theatres, by earning over Rs 1.50 crore.

If things proceed at the same rate, it is safe to assume that Kishkindha Kaandam might touch the Rs. 70 crore mark at the worldwide box office, by the time it completes the third weekend, at the theatres. The excellent word-of-mouth publicity and rave reviews from the critics are highly favouring the Asif Ali starrer, which has been considered one of the finest films made in its genre, from Malayalam cinema. The movie has already emerged as highly profitable, for its makers.
