Kingston teaser OUT: GV Prakash headlines a swashbuckling sea fantasy; release date revealed

We had earlier reported that the actor and composer GV Prakash will be headlining a sea fantasy drama titled Kingston. The makers on Thursday, January 9, released the teaser of the film. Kingston is helmed by debutant Kamal Prakash and marks GV Prakash’s 25th film as lead actor.

Kingston teaser ft GV Prakash is out

GV Prakash, who has scored music for about 100 films, will be starring in his 25th film as lead actor with the upcoming Tamil film Kingston. The film is touted to be a sea fantasy adventure film, with the makers releasing the first look poster recently on social media. Following up with this, the teaser was launched on Thursday on social media. 

The teaser begins with some of the fishermen being said missing, as they venture into the sea. As we soon see the focus shift to the ship caught in a storm, we see some mysterious forces at play. While the conflict of the film is not revealed. 

Kingston is set to release on March 7 in theatres. 

Cast and crew of Kingston

Kingston is helmed by Kamal Prakash in his directorial debut. Apart from GV Prakash, the film stars Divya Bharathi as the female lead, marking her second collaboration with the star after Bachelor. The ensemble star cast includes Antony, Chethan, Kumaravel, and Sabu Mohan alongside many others in pivotal roles. 

Gokul Benoy is the cinematographer of the film, with GV Prakash Kumar composing the music. Dhivek has penned dialogues for this film. While San Lokesh is overseeing the editing works, S.S. Moorthy works as the art director. Zee Studios and Parallel Universe banners are producing it. 

Meanwhile, you can stream GV Prakash and Divya Bharathi’s Bachelor on SonyLIV and the OTTplay Premium app. The romantic courtroom drama is about the legal battle between a boy and a girl after the latter gets pregnant out of wedlock.
