Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan's biggest theatrical release King of Kotha has locked its OTT release date. Disney+ Hotstar, which secured the digital rights, announced the release date on Monday, ending speculations on when the film will begin streaming.
Directed by Abhilash Joshiy, King of Kotha is an action-packed gangster drama that follows the story of Raju (Dulquer) and his turf, Kotha. Despite not receiving the expected response, the movie managed to collect decent earnings from the box office and pre-release business.

When and where to watch King of Kotha?
King of Kotha will be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from September 29. As we previously reported, there were rumours about the film being released on OTT either on September 28 or September 29, but now it is confirmed that it will be available on the latter date.
King of Kotha's plot begins when a police officer threatened by a gangster decides to bring back a former bigwig in the area to face the former. Dulquer plays Raju Madrasi, the former gangster in the town of Kotha who returns to reclaim his throne. However, he must first confront Kannan (Shabeer Kallarakkal), the current gangster ruling Kotha, to regain his reputation in the town.
King of Kotha’s star-studded cast
In King of Kotha, Aishwarya Lekshmi stars as Dulquer's love interest, and the story features a romantic subplot between them. Chemban Vinod Jose and Shabeer portray the antagonists, with Chemban's performance eliciting some laughs.

Gokul Suresh, who plays a police officer in the film, narrates the story of Kotha. Shammi Thilakan and Nyla Usha also have important roles in the movie, which emphasises themes like friendship, family and betrayal. In an interview prior to the film's theatrical release, Shammi praised King of Kotha as an impressive film and called it 'big' in every aspect.
