King of Kotha: Dulquer Salmaan announces Karaikudi shoot wrap in the most ‘gangster’ way possible; watch

Dulquer Salmaan is all set to take the silver screen by storm, this time channelling his badass ‘gangster’ avatar. The actor will next be seen in the highly anticipated gangster drama, King of Kotha. It was recently reported that the actor and the film’s crew were in Karaikudi for the latest schedule of the film’s shoot. The makers recently wrapped up the Karaikudi schedule of the film, and the actor took to announce the same on his social media, in the suavest way possible.

The makers posted a video to announce the schedule wrap. The video starts with DQ cocking a shotgun, with an intense expression on his face, and announcing “Finish me, if you can”, before breaking out into a wide smile. The cast and crew of the film are seen celebrating, as fireworks go off in the background, and a message thanking Karaikudi lights up the sky.

The video was captioned “KingOfKotha It’s a wrap. Thank you Karaikudi. Gearing up for the final lap. Further updates very soon”.

The upcoming film is directed by debutant Abhilash Joshy, the son of veteran filmmaker Joshiy. The film’s script was written by Abhilash N Chandran.

Dulquer is also a producer on the film, bankrolling it under his banner of Wayfarer Films. In addition to Dulquer, the film also features Shabeer Kallarakkal, Gokul Suresh, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Chemban Jose Vinod, Prasanna, Shammi Thilakan, Nyla Usha, Shanthi Krishna. The film has music by Jakes Bejoy, while Nimish Ravi has handled its cinematography. Shyam Sasidharan has edited the film.

King of Kotha will be released in theatres in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Kannada. Although an exact release date for the film is yet to be announced, the makers have revealed that the film will have an Onam release.
