Kim Soo-hyun held a press conference post Kim Sae-ron's demise, in which he clarified his stance on the matter. The actor, who lost out on multiple projects after being dragged into the controversy around Sae-ron's unfortunate demise, has spoken about his side of the story.

At the press conference, Kim Soo-hyun accepted that he contemplated coming clear about his one-year relationship with late Kim Sae-ron. However, since he had people to protect and was scared of losing face, he let the matter settle down. Unfortunately, Sae-ron, who had been a victim of cyber-bullying since her DUI incident, faced wrath for sharing the intimate selfie right when Queen of Tears was performing well. Soo-hyun believes that if he had revealed the truth about his relationship with Sae-ron back then, as he intended to, the press conference held could have been avoided. However, the actor stated that he has been a coward and thought about protecting people dependent on him, at the time.

Soo-hyun specifically mentioned that he has faced the consequences of his actions (directly hinting at the brands pulling out, including his upcoming series Knock-Off being at the backburner) and while he accepts them, he also believes that some 'evidences' are fabricated and will fight the matter in court instead. Soo-hyun managed to prove that some chats were fabricated to show that he dated Sae-ron for over a year.

Kim Soo-hyun wanted to stay connected with Kim Sae-ron, but she was in a new relationship - His revelation

Soo-hyun went on to state that Kim Sae-ron moved on after their breakup and like any other couple, it was difficult for the exes to reconnect, particularly because she was already in a new relationship. Soo-hyun also went on to talk about the debt and while mentioning it, he affirmed that he was told it is just a formality and that she does not have to repay anything, most certainly not immediately. It is to be noted that among the many theories, one was that Sae-ron got married to a man from the US and addressed him as her husband months before her mortal remains were found.

As for Soo-hyun, he has assured that he would take the matter to court and take action against all agencies who have been producing new evidences. He also requested/warned Sae-ron's family members to get the evidences verified before releasing them in public, since he has counter-proof for it all.
