For the past two years, filmmakers, actors, and critics who have seen the latest Dharma X Sikhya movie have been endorsing it at the top of their voices. Produced by Oscar-winning producer Guneet Monga and Karan Johar, Kill is a movie that has been making waves at film festivals and in mainstream headlines for quite some time now. It finally arrived on home soil, hitting the big screen in July, where it was embraced by critics as the goriest Indian movie ever made. Adding to the excitement is the news that the makers of John Wick have acquired the Hindi rights to the movie and will be adapting it into English. This heightened curiosity, but many who couldn’t catch it in theaters were eagerly awaiting the digital premiere. Now, it seems we finally have a release date.
For the past few weeks, netizens have been speculating about the release date of Kill on streaming platforms. It was already announced that the movie would drop on Disney+ Hotstar, but there was no update on the exact date. Now, it turns out the makers chose to surprise us all, as they have officially announced the streaming release date—and it’s less than a week away. Read on for everything you need to know.
Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, Kill stars Lakshya, Taniya Maniktala, and Raghav Juyal in the lead roles. This gory thriller isn’t for everyone, but it’s perfect for those with a strong appetite for blood and violence. According to the latest announcement, Kill will be streaming on Disney+ Hotstar starting September 6, 2024, roughly two months after its theatrical release. With less than a week to go, fans can finally look forward to watching the film on the platform next Friday.

While Lakshya earned praise for his action skills and performance, the breakout star of the movie is Raghav Juyal, who plays the villain. Speaking about the digital release and his experience on the film, Raghav said, “From auditioning for Kill to shooting it with Lakshya, my entire journey on the film has been fun. Like I always say, I’ve never shied away from working hard. With Kill, I got a chance to show the world that I can act too, and playing a negative role is always a big responsibility that requires immense conviction.”
He added, “Lakshya and I did a lot of physical training together for this one, which really strengthened our bond off-screen as well. What I love most about my character Fani in the film is his twisted humor and sarcasm. Preparing for this role mentally was more crucial than physically, as Fani is a clever lad who brings the thrill to the film. With the film set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar, I hope more audiences can watch it and love it as much as we did while making it!”
