Kill box office collection day 2: Kill starring Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Tanya Maniktala, Harsh Chhaya, and Ashish Vidyarthi in pivotal roles. After much anticipation, the film was released in theatres on 5th July. The film, directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat has been receiving rave reviews from the critics as well as the audience. After a decent opening day, the film saw an upward trend on its second day of release.
Kill rakes in Rs. 1.25 cr on Friday and now, according to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs. 1.90 crore on Saturday. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs. 3.15 crore.
Kill enjoyed a solo release at the ticket window, however, it is facing tough competition with Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan starrer Kalki 2898 AD. The Nag Ashwin’s post-apocalyptic sci-fi epic continues to soar at the Indian box office. Kill was also the second most preferred movie option in Hindi, the first being Kalki 2898 AD.
The makers of the film earlier shared their excitement about working together on a film that was also premiered at international festivals. As quoted by Deadline, the joint statement from the producers read, “When we made Kill with Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, we envisioned a story that would resonate globally. Seeing the enthusiasm from North American audiences during festival screenings was a testament to the film’s universal themes and thrilling action. Partnering with 87Eleven Entertainment and Lionsgate to produce an English remake is a significant milestone for Indian cinema.”
Meanwhile, the narrative of Kill revolves around the lives of Amrit (Lakshya) and Tulika (Tanya Maniktala). When Amrit decides to propose to Tulika on a train from Ranchi to Delhi, the same train is attacked by Fani (Raghav Juyal) and his gang of thieves who are on a killing spree. Amrita takes on the responsibility of saving his girlfriend as well as other passengers by getting into a ruthless fight.
Kill is co-produced by Oscar Award winner Guneet Monga and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. Released on July 5, the film is currently playing in theatres near you.
