Kick: Santhanam's next comic caper to be released soon, thanks to the success of DD Returns

Santhanam is basking in the unexpected success of DD Returns which was released a week ago. The horror-comedy directed by Prem Anand is the third installment in the Dhilukku Dhuddu franchise. The shorter duration, the chemistry between a few actors, and some of the hilarious episodes in the latter half are a few reasons which helped the film attract the audience.

Surbhi, Fefsi Vijayan, Rajendran, Tiger Thangadurai, Pradeep Rawat, Masoom Shankar, Munishkanth and Maran among others played important characters in the movie which will start streaming on Zee5 after a few weeks. A success meet of the project was held the other day.

The makers of Kick, starring Santhanam, are now elated with the performance of DD Returns and have decided to announce their release plans. They have informed that the comic caper will hit the screens this month. However, they are yet to lock in the exact release date.

Tanya Hope plays the female lead in the movie helmed by Kannada filmmaker Prashant Raj. The movie's trailer was released earlier this year. Thambi Ramaiah, Brahmanandam and Ragini Dwivedi among others play significant characters in the project that has music composed by Arjun Janya.

The story of Kick revolves around a fraud who falls in love with a smart lady who expects loyalty from her fiancé. After realizing the same, the former comes up with a plan to hide his behaviour to impress her. Will the young woman accept his proposal?

Naveen Raj has produced Kick which has cinematography by Sudhakarr S Raj. Nagooran Ramachandran is in charge of editing while Mohan B Kere has handled art direction.
