Kiccha Sudeep to launch the trailer of Darling Krishna’s Kousalya Supraja Rama

Darling Krishna is set for the second release of the year this month. His film, Kousalya Supraja Rama, will be in theatres on July 28. Directed by Shashank, the film has a tagline that reads, ‘Tale of a Real Man’ and, according to the filmmaker explores what being a man means from the perspective of women. The film pairs Krishna with Premam Poojyam fame Brinda Acharya and while the love story is central to the plot, Shashank adds that Kousalya Supraja Rama is as much about the romance as it is about the relationship between Krishna’s character Ram and his mother, Kousalya (Sudha Belawadi).

With less than three weeks to go for the theatrical outing, today, Shashank announced that the trailer of the film will be released by Kiccha Sudeep on July 14 at a major event in Bengaluru. So far, the team has been quite tight-lipped about the subject of the film, which they’ve managed by not having any promotional events yet. The July 14 event will be the first press briefing since the title launch last year. The song Shivani hinted at a love story and, to some extent, Krishna’s characteristics as Rama. So far, the team has released three songs, wit Shivani being the most popular and becoming an Instagram reel favourite.

Director Shashank has, in the past, hinted at not being a fan of too much promotions, preferring instead for his film to do the talking. Right now, the film is in box office competition with the latest PRK Productions venture, Aachar & Co and Ragini Dwivedi’s suspense thriller Sheela. Kousalya Supraja Rama comes just over a year after Shashank’s Love 360. Krishna was last seen in Love Birds, in which he was paired with his wife, Milana Nagaraj. Rumour has it that Milana has a role in Kousalya Supraja Rama as well.
