Kiccha Sudeep and Challenging Star Darshan are big superstars in their own individual rights and it is a known fact their respective legions of fans often engage in banter and rivalry on and off social media. But this time around, thanks to a special social gathering, the fans seem to have put their differences aside for a bit to celebrate the fact that the two stars are cordially under one roof.
The gathering, of course, is actor-politician Sumalatha's birthday bash that saw a lot of glamour and glitter with her son Abishek Ambareesh, Rakshit Shetty and many others in attendance.
Sudeep and Darshan look dapper
While the two haven't been spotted interacting with one another in any of the pictures seen so far, social media is still gushing over the fact that they are inching close to mending things. Sumalatha Ambareesh has been rumoured in the past to have acted as the mediator to fix the rift between the two, though both Sudeep and Darshan have stayed out of one another's ways in the recent past.
Sudeep recently spoke about the slipper attack on Darshan during Kranti promotions and said that though there are differences between him and the Challenging Star, the attack on him was totally out of line, uncalled for.
At the party, Sudeep looked quite stylish in a black ensemble including an embellished jacket, a white t-shirt, trousers and glasses. Darshan, too, wore a black printed shirt and looked quite casual and suave at the same time.
Kichcha 46 and Kaatera on the way!
Both Sudeep and Darshan, who started out around the same time, have remained the most sought-after actors over the last 20-odd years. At the moment, Sudeep is shooting for the untitled project Kichcha 46 in Tamil Nadu and is giving his all for the project. The actor recently shared pictures of his workout session revealing the massive physical transformation he is undergoing for the role.
Darshan, at the same time, is engrossed fully in the making of Kaatera, a period film set in rural Karnataka in the 1970s. Radhana Ram makes her debut with the film and if everything falls into place, we may get to see the film in theatres later this year. He has also announced that he will reunite with his Kariya director Prem for a big project bankrolled by KVN Productions.
